This is the most thorough way to get your nail sizes! However, some disclaimers: the standardized individual nail sizes SLIGHTLY varies between nail shapes!
Also, if you're looking for a faster method try out the Quarter Method.
Measure Your Nails
Get a soft measuring tape and measure the widest part of your nail in millimeters (mm), making sure it's flush and touching both of your nail's side wall. Then, scroll down to Step 4 to determine your individual nail sizes and/or standardized set size.
OR
Get regular tape and follow the instructions below.
Tip
When recording your nail measurements, record them in this format: Thumb - Index - Middle - Ring - Pinkie
Step 1
Put some tape on your fingernail, making sure it's flush to the curve of your nail and creased against your sidewalls.
Step 2
Grab a pen and mark the widest part of your fingernail.
Step 3
Take the tape and stick it to a flat surface such as a piece of paper. Take a ruler and measure the marked area in millimeters (mm).
Step 4
After recording the measurements for each fingernail, refer to the guide below and find the corresponding individual nail size (numbers in the lighter blue box) to your nail measurement.
[Note: if you're ordering with custom sizing, you may skip to step 5]
Next, find the closest standardized set size in the next chart below. [Tip: If you're in between sizes, size up to be safe!]
Step 5
Last thing to do is choose your nail shape and length!
